Broadband Communications Solutions
InovaTech offers a complete range of high-speed power line communications (HS
PLC) solutions which enable power utilities the opportunity to lease their existing
power line infrastructure to telecommunications providers or to participate in a
telecommunications service provision business. This generates new revenue, and
creates opportunities
for growth and diversification.
Utilities using the InovaTech HS PLC solution can join with
telecommunications billing system providers and carriers to offer complete
telecommunications solutions to their existing customer base, and offer
competitive advantage when bidding for energy contracts.
The InovaTech's HS PLC system has the following features:-
▪ Reliable communications at speeds up to 200 Mbps and distances up to several hundred meters;
▪ Compatible with existing energy distribution infrastructure;
▪ Compliance with radio frequency emission and revenue metering standards;
▪ Use of industry standard communications protocols, e.g. TCP/IP;
▪ Support for a wide range of value-added services, e.g. VoIP, Internet access, Video on Demand (VoD), etc.; and
▪ Equipment and installation costs that are significantly below those of existing infrastructure alternatives.
The InovaTech HS PLC system can also be used for internal communications within the premises of industrial, commercial and residential customers, eliminating the need for investment in internal cabling and other communications technologies.
Broadband Products
InovaTech’s Broadband Communications System (BCS) consists
of three major products:-

BCS products can be used in many diverse ways in conventional topologies and InovaTech’s Kerb Translation Architecture (KTA) to meet utilities’ requirements and business strategies. InovaTech’s EMS products can also be used in InovaTech’s BCS.

Regulatory standards are being discussed and amended to include PLC technology. InovaTech technology is flexible to adapt to evolving standards.
